Having just completed the series on the essential Five Mother Sauces – it’s time to highlight another valuable culinary skill every chef needs to know. Anyone who spends time in the kitchen will benefit from this demonstration class where you can learn to master one of the most important tools in your kitchen – Your Knife!
Chef Jessica will share basic knife techniques and you will learn to slice, dice and properly handle a knife. She will talk about the basic cutlery you’ll want in your kitchen to assure success; as well as the proper methods for cleaning, storing and sharpening your tools. Sit back and enjoy or bring your favorite knife and help while we work through a garden of assorted local vegetables to yield a fresh Salsa Appetizer and a delicious classic curried soup – Mulligatawny. *Vegetarian and Gluten-Free options are available.
Cost of class is $40 and included in the fee is a recipe packet and a full meal of the dishes prepared in the demonstration. Chilled water and coffee are available; and as always guests are welcomed to bring your favorite beverage if you wish. *This class will be Vegan and Gluten-Free.
